The ratio of Sarin’s mass to Hairu’s mass is 5 : 4. If Sarin loses 1 kg and Hairu gains 5 kg, both of them will have the same mass. What is Sarin’s original mass?


            Draw a model based on their original mass ratio

            They have the same mass finally


            From the model

            1 unit = 5 + 1 = 6 kg

            The original mass of Sarin = 5 × 6 = 30 kg
