Upper primary school mathematics question UPQ407

Hairu and Sarin have an average of 19 stickers. Fatimah and Hairu have an average of 26 stickers. Find the difference in the number of stickers between Fatimah and Sarin.

 Solution:

            The total number of stickers that Hairu and Sarin have = 19 × 2 = 38

            The total number of stickers that Fatimah and Hairu have = 26 × 2 = 52

            The difference in the number of stickers between Fatimah and Sarin = 52 – 38 = 14
