In the figure below, ABCE and ACDE are trapeziums. Find ∠AED.






                        ABCE is trapezium                

                        ∠ CAE = 1800 – 680 – 370 = 750

                        ACDE is a trapezium

                        ∠ AED = 1800 – 750 = 1050

Alternative solution:

                        ABC form a triangle

                        ∠ BCA = 1800 – 680 – 370 = 750

                        Line BC // Line AE

                        ∠ CAE = ∠ BCA = 750

                        ACE is a triangle

                        ∠ CEA = 1800 – 700 – 750 = 350

                        Line AC // Line ED

                        ∠ CED = ∠ ACE = 700

                        ∠ AED = 700 + 350 = 1050
