            ABPQ is a square

            AB = AQ = 9cm

            The area of the pink triangle = ½ × 9 × 4 = 18 cm2

            The area of the pink and blue triangle = ½ × 9 × 9 = 40 ½ cm2

            The area of the blue triangle = 40 ½ – 18 = 22 ½ cm2
