There were two performance events held in the Esplanade theatre and the Esplanade concert hall. 1258 people were in the Esplanade theatre. There were 744 people fewer in the Esplanade theatre than the Esplanade concert hall. There were 250 people had than decided to leave the Esplanade theatre to join the performance event at the Esplanade concert hall. How many people were there in the Esplanade concert hall after that?

            Draw the model

            From the model

                        The number of people in the concert hall at first = 1258 + 744 = 2002

                        The number of people in the concert hall at the end = 2002 + 250 = 2252
