Sarin has $636 in his coin bank. His saving is 3 times as much as than Hairu. What is the sum of the boy’s saving?

Solution:

            Sarin’s saving is 3 times of Hairu’s saving

            Draw the Math Model

 

 

            Per the model

            3 units = 636

            1 unit = $ 636 ÷ 3 = $212

            The sum of the boy’s saving = 4 × 212 =$848
