Upper primary school mathematics question UPQ180

Hairu has 64 stickers more than Sarin. If the average number of stickers each boy has is 264, how many stickers does Sarin have?

 Solution:

                        Drawing the model

Start the model with average number of stickers than work out based on the different number of stickers

                         From the model

                         2 units = 64

                         1 unit = 32

                         Sarin has 264 – 32 = 232 stickers
