Upper primary school mathematics question UPQ106

The figure below shows a solid leaning against two walls. The solid is made up of identical 2-cm

cubes. Find the volume of the solid.

 

Solution:

 

                        The volume of one 2-cm cube = 2 × 2 × 2 = 8cm3

                        Count the number of 2-cm cubes forming the solid = 10

                        The volume of the solid = 10 × 8 = 80cm3
